Yesterday, we held our official launch event of NEC Training and Accreditation Programme in Singapore. Co-hosted with the British High Commission Singapore, the event brought together over 100 senior leaders from government, industry and NEC experts to highlight UK–Singapore collaboration and the future of NEC contracts in Singapore's built environment sector. The evening began with welcome remarks from Nikesh Mehta OBE (British High Commission, Singapore), Teck Thai Heng (Building and Construction Authority, Singapore), and Renee Paik (NEC), followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion on 'Shaping the Future of NEC Contracts in Singapore', featuring Elaine Lee (JTC Corporation), Suat Choo Cheong (Land Transport Authority, Singapore), Tony Ho (Development Bureau, Hong Kong), Bernard Ang (Pinsent Masons) and Robin Wilkinson (ICE Singapore/ARUP), moderated by Robert Gerrard (NEC). From driving culture and mindset shifts to facilitating industry adoption through strategic partnerships and upskilling opportunities, the discussion shared valuable lessons and insights to guide Singapore’s NEC journey. The evening concluded with a vibrant networking reception, fostering new connections and collaboration opportunities.
