NEC has been used to successfully deliver the new £42m National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) - a carbon-neutral innovation and research facility near Glasgow Airport, operated by the University of Strathclyde. The University’s senior capital projects manager highlighted that the project team fully embraced the NEC requirement to act in a ‘spirit of mutual trust and co-operation’, using the early warning process to identify and collaboratively mitigate any risks to the programme and budget. As a result, the award-winning building was successfully delivered on programme and budget.
