Last week, at the Society of Construction Law - Viet Nam (SCLVN) Conference, Robert Gerrard (NEC) participated in a panel discussion on 'Risk Prevention in Drafting Construction Contracts.' The session focused on the type and allocation of risks in standard forms of contract, sharing insights into effective risk management in construction. Robert’s presentation on 'Allocating Risk in NEC4 Contracts' highlighted that the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) provides a standard risk allocation between the Client and Contractor. He discussed the various clauses within the contract that address risks related to time, cost, and quality.
